Before I start, I’m not going to write this in the third person, because that’s cheesy.

I left my country (México) in 2011 to explore new opportunities. At the time, I didn’t even know copywriting was a thing. I went to business school. The only kind of writing I knew was songwriting. I’d been playing in bands since I was 13. But I knew I wanted to be creative, somehow.

I applied to an internship and realized I loved it. I got obsessed. Started reading all the classic ad books. So, I guess in a way, I ended up going to ad school after all. Just not the traditional route. Never been a rule follower.

In those books, I read about brilliant people and iconic places. Some of them I was lucky enough to cross paths with.
People I once read about, and eventually worked alongside.
